π Day Camp Packing List
Campers should bring these items each day:
- Packed lunchΒ
- Refillable water bottle
- Long pants for riding (required)
- Closed-toe shoes or riding boots ( available for an extra $10 per week charge)
- ASTM-approved riding helmet (limited helmets available if needed – $10 for the week)
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- Hat or visor
- Light jacket or sweatshirt (weather dependent)
- Change of clothes (recommended)
- Swimsuit & towel (for sessions including water activities if time allows)
- Any required medications (must be labeled and given to staff)
π Overnight / Residential Camp Packing List
Bring ALL Day Camp items PLUS:
Sleeping & Cabin
- Sleeping bag OR bedding (blanket + pillow + sleeping bag for colder camps)
- Pajamas
- Flashlight OR lantern (cabins do NOT have electricity)
- Extra batteries
- Small fan (battery powered only β optional)
- Stuffed animal or comfort item (optional)
Clothing
- Underwear & socks (extra recommended)
- T-shirts / riding shirts
- Sweatshirt or jacket (evenings get cool)
- Shorts
- Extra long pants/jeans for riding
- Rain gear or poncho
- Swimsuit(s) & towel(s)
- Water shoes or sandals (for water activities)
- Goggles, snorkel for water (completely optional)
- Barn-safe shoes/boots (closed toe required)
Personal Items
- Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant, hairbrush)
- Washcloth & shower towel
- Laundry bag or plastic bag for dirty clothes
- Small backpack for daily use
- Hair ties (important around horses)
Helpful Extras
- Chapstick
- Sunscreen
- Reusable water bottle
- Notebook or journal
- Camera (non-phone)
- Cards or quiet cabin games
π« Please DO NOT Bring
To keep camp safe and focused on horses and friendships:
- Cell phones, smart watches, tablets, or gaming devices will be collected and stored inside
- Hair dryers, curling irons, or plug-in electronics
- Expensive or valuable items
- Candy or gumΒ
- Knives or sharp objects
- Pets
π Important Notes for Parents
- Camp runs rain or shine
- Cabins do not have electricity β lanterns and flashlights are strongly encouraged
- All medications must be turned in to staff upon arrival
- Campers will be outdoors, around dirt, animals, and water β pack accordingly!
- Expect clothes to get dirty β that means they had a great day at camp π
